Dropout Prevention

Alright everyone knows that the dropout problem in this country and in the State of Texas is a problem. What all they don't know is the problem. Most business owners don't think about the impact dropouts have on our economy. Teens are not at the top of most peoples' minds and it is not unusual for that to be something talked about in everyday conversation. Therefore, the topic is not given the attention it needs in all the right places. Also, once it is talked about the problem then is what to do about it. Many focus too much time on the blame. Let's blame schools and then force them into some accountability system that makes them in trouble for having the dropout. Oh! That's great. Now we have created a situation that makes schools not want to accept kids at risk of dropping out because then they will have more dropouts and be in even more trouble!
